UPDATED Testing Information: Delta County Health Department is reporting a third straight day of 0 new cases; our total case count remains at 55, with 46 individuals now recovered
36 individuals have tested positive; 19 individuals have been in close contact with an individual who tested positive, and have experienced COVID-19 symptoms, and one death is being reported.
To date, 679 tests have been administered in Delta County; 80 tests are pending.
Is there COVID-19 testing available in Delta County?
There is COVID-19 testing available at Delta County Health Department, Delta County Memorial Hospital’s (DCMH) Urgent Care and Clinics, and at River Valley Health Clinic.
Are there specific criteria to get tested?
If you are symptomatic including anything respiratory or GI related, or are a health care worker, or have had a known exposure to someone who has tested positive, you are encouraged to contact your primary care physician or Delta County Health Department to make an appointment, or visit DCMH’s Urgent Care to get tested.
Can I get a test if I don’t have symptoms?
You can get a test, at Delta County Health Department, by appointment only.
Are there associated costs with getting a test?
Delta County Health Department is charging a pass through fee of $55 for individuals who are seeking a test but present with no symptoms, or known exposure. The $55 fee is what is charged to the Delta County Health Department by the lab they send the test to.
If you are symptomatic or have had known exposure, there is no cost for the test as it’s sent to the State lab for testing.
