(Delta County | May 21, 2020) - Delta County Daily Update

UPDATED Testing Information: Delta County Health Department is reporting 2 new cases; our total case count is now at 57, with 54 individuals now recovered. The two additional cases are being reported by Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment during the ongoing investigation to determine any additional cases that were associated with the outbreak in another county; these two cases were identified as probable cases associated with that outbreak, and have fully recovered.

· 56: Female, in her 20's, self-isolated at home and fully recovered

· 57: Female, in her 30's, self-isolated at home and fully recovered

36 individuals have tested positive; 21 individuals have been in close contact with an individual who tested positive, and have experienced COVID-19 symptoms, and one death is being reported.

To date, 814 tests have been administered in Delta County; 66 tests are pending.

State Update

Governor Polis previously indicated that he would be rolling out new guidance for restaurants, spring skiing, and summer camps on Monday, May 25. We have now confirmed that the guidance, along with any potential changes that could come if we move into a new phase, will be discussed at a press conference on Tuesday, May 26.

The State of Colorado has drafted proposed guidelines for use when it’s safe to start easing COVID-19 related safety restrictions for restaurants. The draft is available for input through Friday, May 22. The draft guidelines can be found at: The restaurant guidance feedback form can be found at:
