Robert Thorn

Delta, CO (November 4, 2019) – Delta County Memorial Hospital Board of Directors announces the appointment of Robert Thorn, MBA, FACHE as Interim Chief Executive Officer effective November 18, 2019. As previously announced, the Interim CEO will serve in this role until the appointment of a permanent CEO is made.

Thorn comes to DCMH with over 25 years of experience in areas of executive leadership, rural hospital administration, PACE organizations, medical practice operations and is the current Principal at Summit Healthcare Strategies, LLC. He also is an established published author and public speaker in areas of healthcare strategy, telehealth, population health and rural healthcare.  

DCMH Board Chairman, Mr. David Lane noted: “The Board is confident that Mr. Thorn will serve Delta County Memorial Hospital and its stakeholders well during this interim period.”

The DCMH’s board of directors is in the process of forming a committee of community stakeholders for the purpose of identifying a long-term CEO candidate to lead the hospital through its next growth phase.
