Pecan Pie

Crust 

1 1/2 cups flour

3/4 cup shortening

1/4 tsp. salt

6 Tbsp. ice cold water

Mix flour and salt. Cut in shortening until coarse crumbs form. Add water and gently mix until a ball forms. Roll dough into a 12” circle on a floured surface. Place in a 9” pie pan.

Filling

3 eggs

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla

1/3  cup melted butter

1 cup light corn syrup

1 cup pecan pieces

Mix everything together except pecans. Add pecans. Pour into pie crust. Bake at 350º F for 50 minutes.
